Show president Craig Morton says is pleased with the turnout at Uretara Domain today, with the overcast weather proving not too hot for the crowd.

'The crowd seems to be as good, if not better, than last year. So it's going really well.”

Craig says the equestrian competitions are proving popular too, plus the rides and amusements, live music, stilt walkers and the many trade exhibits.

'It's probably the most trade exhibits we've ever had – there's about 67 trade sites and things are going really, really well.”

This afternoon features the lucky ticket draw for the chance to win $100, with the horse jumping event continuing until 5pm.

'It's been an awesome event and we'd like to thank all of the crowd for keeping up the patronage and coming in.”

Admission costs $5 per adult and $2 per child, with under-fives entering for free.
