Motorists are being warned to drive carefully on the roads following a crash on the Kaimai Range this afternoon.

The crash is reported to have happened on the Matamata side of the Kaimai Range. There are no reports of injuries.

Only one vehicle is believed to have been involved in the crash which happend around 12.45pm.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says there has also been a diesel spill on the Matamata side of the Kaimai Range, about half way up towards the summit.

The caller says sand has been put on the spill but motorists should be aware it may still be slippery.
