Men injured after truck rolls

Two men have been flown to hospital after the truck they were in rolled near Parnassus in Canterbury.

The Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter was called to the scene on State Highway 1, north of Cheviot, about 9am on Saturday.

A rescue helicopter pilot says the occupants of the truck were initially assessed by road ambulance crews prior to being further treated by the helicopter on board intensive care paramedic.

Both men were flown to Christchurch Hospital Emergency Department with moderate injuries and in stable conditions for further assessment.
