actually a nasty bend heading east, again it comes down to driver skill but i still believe left side rumble strips add to an already dangerous road

No roads are dangerous in New Zealand. What is actually dangerous are the drivers not slowing and driving to conditions of both the weather and the road.

OOT DRIVERS

Most of not all fatal road accidents since Jan 01 2015 have been OOT (out of town) drivers. The road between Wairoa Bridge and Waihi is such a treacherous piece of road it's speed needs a review and the speed dropped again from the current 90 kmh to 70 kmh Wairoa Bridge to Waihi township. The amount of fatalities that have occurred in this stretch of roading is do high. As I am a daily commute on this road I have seen vehicles pass on double yellow lines, cutting corners, tail gating and if your entering to go onto the road from side roads going across traffic you're doing so at your own risk. Slow the speed for sake of lives.
