Counties Manukau Police are investigating after three men were presented at the Takanini Accident and Emergency, including an 18-year-old who received a gunshot wound.
Police were alerted by medical staff due to the nature of the man's injuries.
The injured man, aged 18, has since been transferred to hospital where he will undergo surgery.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Two men are assisting Police with enquiries.
Enquiries have shown that the car the group arrived in is stolen. No further information will be available tonight.
