Alleged speedster released on bail

Failing to stop for police and possessing both Class A and C drugs has landed a Tauranga man in the judicial system.

Adam Dennis William Bryan, 30, appeared in Tauranga District Court today charged with failing to stop for red and blue lights, exceeding the posted speed limit of 80km/h, possession of methamphetamine for supply and possession of cannabis.

Police allege Bryan failed to stop and was speeding before he was pulled over by police on Saturday.

The charges were laid after Bryan allegedly failed to stop for a police officer while riding his motorbike on Saturday, December 13.

It's alleged he drove at speeds of more than 80km/h – which is the posted speed limit for the road he was on.

The possession of methamphetamine charge relates to an incident on December 16.

Bryan is yet to enter a plea to the charges and has been remanded on bail until his next appearance on January 15.

On releasing him on bail, Judge Peter Rollo warned Bryan not to associate with any patched Head Hunters Motorcycle Club members as part of his bail conditions.

His other conditions are not to consume alcohol or illegal drugs, not to ride a motorcycle and not to go to Birch Ave.
