A dumping of rain was short lived at the 2014 Trustpower Christmas Parade made its way through Tauranga CBD today.
Adults and children lined the streets to see the colourful floats roll through the town for the first time in five years.
Previously, the popular parade has been held at The Mount.

The parade started at 2nd Ave, down Devonport Road, onto The Strand and finish at Harrington Street.
Downtown Tauranga's parade organiser Rowena Kelly says entertainment was available before and after the parade.
The big hit of the day was the man in red himself, Santa Claus.
Jolly St Nick didn't disappoint as children's faces lit up with they saw him
