Traffic is at crawling pace following a crash on Turret Road, heading to the Maungatapu roundabout.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says two cars are off to the side of the road, but debris can be seen in the middle of the road.
Debris can be seen on the road as traffic makes its way over the bridge.
It's unclear how the accident happened.
People are being advised to drive with care in the area.
