A hunter missing in the northern Kaimai ranges when he was separated from his party last night was found safe and well earlier today.
Police and volunteers were called out to search near the Killarney Lakes south of Te Aroha after 8pm last night.
The 27-year-old local man with limited bush experience had failed to rejoin the group.
When he went missing the man was dressed in a tee shirt and shorts and had no other gear with him.
Police say he was found at around 5am.
