Armed police are dealing with an incident in Brookfield this afternoon, with reports of armed officers on the junction of Warwick Place and Millers Road.

A caller to SunLive has reported seeing armed officers at the scene, with access to the roads currently blocked.

Police have confirmed that armed officers are on the scene but have no further information at this time.

A reporter at the scene says there are police officers wearing protective vests and carrying fire arms. A Mazda hatchback has been stopped by police on Millers Road, near The Drive.

Officers are currently speaking to witnesses and nearby neighbours. There is a heavy police prescence at the scene, including six cars and about nine officers.
