What’s on Today: Spring

Spring is in the air and Te Puke is taking full advantage of the weather by putting on a Spring Festival today.

The Te Puke Community Board has planned an 'extravaganza” to celebrate the Te Puke Community Development Plan 10 years of achievements and looking for input from the community - on what you want to see develop in our community for the next 10.

A variety of music will be on offer at the Spring Festival in Te Puke today.

Jim Diers says they could normally do this in a meeting setting but why do that 'when you can have a party”.

Volunteer groups will be selling food, drinks, great bargains and demos.

'Celebrate our diverse communities from 9 am – 4 pm with all day music and dancing with a fantastic line-up of great entertainers - including Te Puke Country Music club have some top Hamilton entertainers, local Sharon Cotter - classical singer, Mike and Safari Henderson - stars in their eyes, John Espin - top of the pops, our top school acts and Indian and Nepalese dancers are also performing,” says Jim.

'Goodness Grows here – free kiwifruit and stalls selling avocado oils and fruit– florist, honey, avocado oil, and much more.”
