Four men accused of a brutal home invasion which left one man needing to have an eye surgically removed will head to trial next month.

Carl Tremayne, Jay Beguely, Takatu Ahomiro and Tama Waitai appeared briefly in Tauranga District Court today where it was confirmed that everything is on track for their trial on November 24.

Police searching the Filthy Few Club headquarters on Birch Ave on Christmas Eve.

Beguely, Ahomiro and Waitai are each facing single counts of committing a burglary with a weapon, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, injuring with intent to injure and threatening to kill.

Tremayne is facing two counts of the same charges.

The charges arose when the four allegedly forced their way into a home on Plummers Point in December 2013 and beat the two occupants.

According to court documents, the accused were allegedly armed with a torch, pinch bar and knuckle dusters when they went in to the property with the intention of collecting a debt.

Both of the occupants were severely beaten and taken to Tauranga Hospital for treatment.

One of the men had to have surgery to remove a damaged eye.

Following an investigation into the home invasion, police executed a search warrant at the Filthy Few Motorcycle Club headquarters on Birch Ave on Christmas Eve.

Tremayne, Waitai, Beguely and Ahomiro were arrested following the police operation.

During a court appearance in January, Judge Louis Bidois told the court the accused had been identified by the victim of the attack.

The judge said the victim will be subject to questioning during the trial.

'There is no doubt this was a vicious assault and if anyone is held accountable they will receive a lengthy prison sentence,” he said.

In court today, Tremayne and Beguely were remanded on bail, while Ahomiro and Waitai were remanded in custody until their November trial.
