Armed police called to Judea

UPDATED 4:20pm: Cordons in Judea have been stood down after armed police were called to the area this afternoon.

About seven police units, including dog teams, were called to Robins Road and Collingwood Street after reports of a person with a gun.

Armed police also set up cordons as officers assessed the situation.

Howevere, a police communications spokesperson has confirmed that nothing has come from the incident.

Earlier: Armed police have cordoned off Robins Road in Judea this afternoon.

Several police units, including police dog teams, are responding to what is believed to be an armed incident in the area.

At this stage it is unclear exactly what is happening and police are assessing the situation.
