Police, Fire and Ambulance are at the scene of a helicopter crash north west of Whanganui.
Emergency services were advised that the helicopter had crashed onto a rural road near Brunswick at about 9.30am.
One person was has been found deceased. The area is cordoned off to allow for a safety considerations and to allow for a scene examination to take place.
