Rockstar economy is rock bottom

The results of six years of John Key-led Governments is a so called ‘Rock star' economy and we're on the right track and will continue along these lines.

But on TV we're told of a nation-wide appeal to feed the hungry children in our schools.
On September 6, hundreds if not thousands of people marched up the main street of Auckland protesting the level of poverty in our country.

The poverty levels are real and measureable.

Rockstar is an emotive and intangible term.

To me a more apt description would be ‘rock bottom' economy.

Rock star economy my horses ass. NZ has a one trick pony economy - the dairy industry. Until we sort out how to really present dairy and meat/beef products to world in the way they want it, we are stuffed. Diversity is a word the NZ economy doesn't understand yet. We have great Kiwis all over the world leading many industries successfully, but we need them here and to get them here we need the greed syndrome that employers suffer from in NZ to be dealt with so they will pay a decent wage to highly skilled people and a decent wage to those at the coal face to get NZ back to where it used to be. With the government debt climbing at $27 million a day and the debt is gone from $10 billion in 1968 to $60 billion since John Key became prime minister and forecast to climb another $10 billion by 2017.So much for the rock star economy unfortunately people believe what they are told
