The Tauranga Spring Home Show is finally here – bringing with it a new name and flare.

The new Spring Home Show has begun, with tickets to the event 100 per cent free today thanks to The Weekend Sun.

The Weekend Sun is also sponsoring the show on Saturday and Sunday, which means half-price tickets for everyone.

'That means you can bring the whole family for as little as $10,” says event organiser Graeme Martin.

Graeme says this year's Spring Home Show is brimming with an abundance of design, renovation and build ideas to inspire and enthuse even the most un-savvy homeowners.

'This spectacular show is designed to host everything you'll need to create the ideal summer lifestyle,” he says.

Featuring more than 150 exhibits, the Spring Home Show has everything from smart new interior designs to the very best of the Bay's superb outdoor and alfresco lifestyle.

Graeme adds: 'One of the key features is the rejuvenated Smith & Sons Renovation Court located in B Street this year.”

At the centre of this year's show is a special New Zealand garden and art festival feature display that will give show-goers a glimpse into the popular biennial Tauranga garden festival in November.

'You'll also be able to purchase your Garden and Art Festival tickets at the Spring Home Show,” says Graeme.

'There'll also be a big display of fine alfresco furniture from Tauranga based Contemporary Classics.

'Back again after a break away for a year, they'll be showcasing the latest trends in indoor and outdoor furniture and design.”

Also back by popular demand are the live cooking demonstrations and tastings in the Taste Tauranga Theatre, with Tauranga chef and author Peter Blakeway.

'Not only can you watch how he does it, but you can also pick up the recipes,” says Graeme. 'Then the best bit is tasting his delights for yourself.”
