Remains found at Katikati building site

Human remains have been uncovered at a building site in Katikati.

Construction work at the site on Park Road revealed the skeletal remains.

Police are at a building site on Park Road where pre-European human remains have been found.

Tauranga Senior Sergeant Carl Purcell says the bones appear to be pre-European.

'They have had an archaeologist on site as part of the building consent and the archaeologist seems to think they are pre-European.

'Police are at the scene at the moment and we should know more soon.”

And pre-Maori to, if they are just a few hundred years old then it will pre-date the late arrival of Maori who were dropped off by General Zheng He, China Navy. There were already various others including the actual indigenous cultures of NZ prior, some dating back to around 2500 BC.

You can bet YOGI

if the remains prove to be Pre-Maori we will never get to find out. That would shatter the whole "Maori being the indigenous population theory."
