Northern Fire Communications shift manager Jaron Phillips says they received multiple calls and the fire actually ended up involving four 20m by 4m single garages.

Jaron says when crews arrived at the scene, the fire was well involved.

'Crews dampened down hotspots and used a thermal imaging camera as well. A specialist fire safety investigator has been called.

'It is being treated as a suspicious fire and police are also investigating.

'There has been a scene guard in place overnight and the fire investigator will return to the scene this morning.”

There were no reports of injuries and firefighters spent around four hours at the scene.

Police are still looking into another arson attack which saw a fire deliberately lit in the living area of a Dickson Road house after a dishwasher and oven were stolen.
