Police are investigating some human remains that have been located on a Far North beach.
The remains were found late this morning by a member of the public on sand dunes at Mitimiti Beach, northwest of Kaitaia.
Police have cordoned off the area where the body was located and experts will be travelling to the scene tomorrow to assist police with identifying the remains.
