Just minutes before his big political rally in Greerton, SunLive reporter Hunter Wells caught up with Kim Dotcom on camera.

SunLive Reporter Hunter Wells nabbed an exclusive interview with Kim Dotcom this afternoon. Video by: Ross Brown.

He's a six-foot-eight, a giant of a man and draped in black. He's also a political curiosity.

And when Kim Dotcom, the man who bankrolled the Internet Mana Party, rolled into Greerton for a political rally this afternoon, he was treated like a rock star by close to 250 party faithfuls.

Yep, people, lots of people turn out to political meetings when Kim's the main act.

And the party faithful swooned and oo'ed and aaahh-ed.

Love him or hate him, you can't ignore Kim Dotcom's pulling power.

Kim is fighting for our internet freedoms. Lets kick out John Key who is subservient to the USA government.

The only thing this confirms is the need for voters to get out on the day and ensure their vote for common-sense and not gimmicks is heard. Disruptive.. yeah right

I watched the video

And the big German former convict appears to be a likable man, but you only have to look at the feral lefties that he is surrounded by to get a sense of what lays behind the facade of charm offensive (Or should that just be an offensive facade). I hate the thought that anyone should be able to manipulate democracy with money, but EVERY party is culpable in this, whether it be from union funds from those that can least afford deductions from their wages or big business interests that want to buy favours - Money buys attention.

One question

All I would like to ask Dotcom is, when will he be leaving New Zealand for good?

Do you really believe that? Would you be happy if he hacked your computer?? Some people are a bit gullible.

Gullible losers

The only thing this man is concerned about is his own welfare. He doesn't give a toss about 'the believers'. He doesn't give a toss about you or your kids or where your next meal is coming from. He doesn't give a toss about anything except evading justice in the US. Wake up you guys..... he doesn't care about you or New Zealand.

I thought you had to be a NZ citizen to vote or stand for parliament. Is dotcom a citizen? Is dotcom standing for parliament? Or is he returning the favour to the govt that granted him residency in this country?

Liked the opening PTC but I think you should have fired off a couple of backcuts for variety.
