Yes..it certainly was worth it! The community have decided to stand up and say that theft (even a weedeater) is NOT acceptable!! Most people work hard for things and we should never think its acceptable to let someone else walk away with it! Well done to all involved

Yes it is worth it thank you! Those of us who live in the area need to know what's happening in our backyard. Thank goodness for alert neighbours while some of us are out working.

Yes. Would you like it if someone went on to your property and stole something. Good on the police for responding so quickly and catching the little toe rag.

Slow news day or not

in fact there was an apprehension, maybe two. Just goes to show our boys and girls in blue are on the job, doesn't it. Bet you would be unhappy if it was your weed eater!

I think that some

of the readers of this article have misinterpreted my comment. I have myself helped the long arm of the law on MANY occasions, but I don't believe we need to have this sort of reporting as a headline article. What will it be next? Mrs Jones from up the street has lost her Budgie! And would you also like to know what the Ambulance parked outside Mr Browns' house was dealing with? Maybe a dedicated page relating police activities would be time well spent and be of a lot more value to the community. Sad that people are so quick to rile about this.

Well done

to the local that spotted the "property visitor" and called the "bill" and even more so to the "coppers" for turning up so quickly. There is two points to this - firstly, people want the plod walking the streets but if they are walking the streets, the wont turn up to this type of problem as quick. Walking the streets (downtown Tga) at 11pm on Saturday is one thing, but at 10am in the day then MOBILE coppers cannot be beaten --- WELL DONE. And to the local that spotted the low-life and reported it - also WELL DONE
