Baby flown to hospital

A four-month-old baby has been to Whakatane Hospital with breathing difficulties this afternoon.

The Tauranga-based Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was called to Te Kaha after the baby boy had been taken to the Te Kaha Medical Centre.


The Truspower TECT Rescue Helicopter was tasked to fly a sick baby to hospital this afternoon.

Base manager and pilot Liam Brettkelly says the baby was transported, along with his mother, to Whakatane Hospital for further treatment.

Liam says the baby was in a moderate condition.
