Roadshow to connect iwi

A roadshow focusing on getting Ngai Tahu descendants involved in the iwi will be coming to Tauranga on July 25, with Huria marae will hosting it at 6pm.

Ngai Tahu ki Tauranga Moana chair Huey Rurehe encourages Ngai Tahu members to attend the hui on Friday.

Ngai Tahu ki Tauranga Moana chair Huey Rurehe sees the event as an opportunity to meet face-to-face with leaders of Ngai Tahu and he encourages all Ngai Tahu to attend the hui.

With more than 51,000 people registered as Ngai Tahu members, the iwi is hoping to engage its members by delivering core messages of the iwi.

Ngai Tahu's kaiwhakahaere (manager) Mark Solomon is looking forward to coming along and meeting with local whanau.

'Ngai Tahu works tirelessly for the betterment of all its members.

'This is a chance for all whanau to be more involved and understand more about Ngai Tahu and their vision for the future.”

The roadshow will be visiting different towns and cities in New Zealand.

The roadshow team includes kaiwhakahaere Ta Mark Solomon, Kaiwhakahaere Tuarua Lisa Tumahai, CEO Arihia Bennett, and NT Holding Corporation CE Mike Sang.

Huey says the Tauranga hui is a good way for people to be informed and inspired.

Can we all go to the Roadshow. I would love to know what Mark Solomon has to say. He's a smart Corporate Maori Leader.
