Counties Manukau Police investigating the deaths of two men at Ezy Cash Takanini can now release their names.

They were 47-year-old Paul Matthews and 69-year-old Paul Fanning.

Police are looking to locate a brown-coloured 'Dickies' hooded top which may have been discarded in the environs of the Avondale Racecourse.

Counties Manukau Police Detective Inspector Dave Lynch says the top is likely to have visible blood upon it and should not be touched.

"Should anyone locate such an item of clothing, please do not touch it and call 111 immediately.”

Great South Road is now open to traffic between Taka Street and Glenora Road.
