Bridges leaps out of plane

Tauranga MP and Minister of Labour Simon Bridges had a thrilling morning after jumping out of a plane thanks to Tauranga Tandem Skydiving.

Tourism Bay of Plenty chairman Paul Bowker also helped Tauranga Tandem Skydiving celebrate receipt of its full compliance licence from the Civil Aviation Authority today by volunteering for a tandem skydive.

Tauranga Tandem Skydiving is the only operator within the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions and one of only nine in New Zealand to receive a full compliance licence.

'Tourism is worth over $520M to our region and is 10 per cent of our local GDP. Tourism businesses like Tauranga Tandem employ 10 per cent of our residents,” says National MP Simon Bridges.

'As Minister of Labour I feel strongly about safe work practices and I acknowledge the hard work of the team at Tauranga Tandem for ensuring the highest of safety standards to achieve Civil Aviation Authority certification.”

Simon says it was the experience of a lifetime skydiving today.

'I jumped with real confidence with CAA certification in place.”

John Martin, of Tauranga Tandem Skydiving is proud to receive the licence for his boutique skydiving company, and looks forward to giving many more people 'the ultimate buzz”.

Could you not focus on important issues ? This guy is a disgrace to New Zealand, our country is no longer clean or green and he keeps bringing in policies that make the situations worse. Why not ask him to explain himself instead.

ELECTION SIgns are up. Bridges had 5 cars 1 truck and 12 people to erect signs WOW they got nothing else to do what a few weeks we are going to have with clutter around our streets and for LOUTS in the night kicking them down especially in our area.
