Tauranga top in bridge battle

Tauranga Sports are proving they are a team to beat in Bayfair Baywide Premier Club Rugby's competition – Battle of the Bridge – after beating Te Puna 22-6 at Tauranga Domain on Saturday.

Teams battled it out yesterday as week three of the competition took place around Bay of Plenty.

The biggest win of the day went to Opotiki's premier development team which nabbed an impressive 96-5 win against Whakawerawera at Princess St Reserve.

The second biggest win of the day went to Greerton Marist premier development team for its triumphant 66-7 win against Rangiuru.

The Battle of the Bridge competition sees two teams from opposite sides of the bridge verse each other in a game of rugby.
