Two young boys are in hospital with serious leg injuries after colliding while riding motorbikes on a rural property.
The boys, aged seven and nine, were airlifted to Rotorua Hospital from the property south of Mamaku on Monday afternoon.
Tauranga-based Trustpower TECT rescue helicopterPilot Liam Brettkelly says the boys, who are brothers, were riding in a paddock when they collided.
The boys were flown separately to Rotorua for treatment.
