Crowds milk A&P show

Crowds roamed the Uretara Domain in Katikati today soaking up the sights, sounds and smells of the 92nd A&P show which brought country traditions to the Western Bay town.

Locals and visitors alike enjoyed many entertainment and activities on offer during a hot sunny Sunday.

People surrounded the Chelsea and the Wonder dogs shows, watched on as horses and riders challenged themselves in jumping and dressage events, while the cattle section a larger-than-usual number of entries.

Highland dancing, bagpipes and the Katikati College band individually gave different echoes to swirl the park while stilt-walkers greeted guests.

Children enjoyed an array of activities, including bumper cars, inflatable boat rides and sand wrestling while adults perused the many stalls and machinery displays on offer.
