What's On Today? Mower racing

Good morning everyone,

On land...

Start your engines and get ready for Omokoroa No.1 School's 10th Ride on Mower Race Day today.

Omokoroa No.1 School's Ride on Mower Race Day is happening today.

Along with mower racing, there will be plenty of traditional gala day activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy at the school today.

Sit back and watch the mud fly on the track as drivers race their ride-on mowers, and be entertained with an array of gala day attractions – including a giant bouncy castle, a vertical bungy, mini jeep rides, coconut shy, tyre roll and much more.

There are even a few new attractions added to this year's event including Water Walkers where people are enclosed in large plastic bubbles and can ‘walk' over a pool of water.

The event begins from 10am to 3pm today.

On the water...

Meanwhile, for those of you who want to spend the day by the water, the Tauranga Boat Expo and On The Water Festival is happening today.

There are free jet ski rides and exciting on water demonstrations from the NZ Power Boat Club, BOP Dragon Boat Club, Tauranga Coastguard and Tauranga Yacht Club.

While off the water, children can enjoy the Wish For Fish Charity bouncy castle, while parents can relax in the Cornerstone recovery lounge.

The event begins 10am to 4pm on The Strand waterfront.
