TCC workshops: I’ll now expect notification

In last week's Sun, journalist Andrew Campbell's article ‘Change ahead, council's open forum endangered' about elected members possibly losing their right to ask any question of the council staff quotes Mayor Crosby.
Under the Local Government Information and Meetings Act council must let the community know what is going to be discussed at a meeting.
'At the open forum nobody knows, often, what is going to be discussed,” says Stuart in the article. 'There's a strong argument to say that if you have that then people don't know under the official information act what's going to be said at a meeting”.
The same principle applies to all the ‘workshop' meetings, which previously have never been publicly advertised.
So I expect in the future the public will be notified about them.
