Police locate car in Papatoetoe

Police have located Shalvin Prasad's Toyota RAV 4 motor vehicle this morning after a member of the public noticed it outside an industrial premises on Plunkett Avenue, Papatoetoe.

The vehicle has been secured by police and will be subject to an extensive forensic examination.

Police are working to establish how long the vehicle has been at that location and are particularly interested to hear from any business owners in the Plunkett Avenue Area that have CCTV cameras covering the area.

Shalvin's 22nd birthday is today. The family have asked for privacy as they prepare for his funeral.
