Road works warnings

Posted at 9:31am Tuesday 29 Jan, 2013

Motorists are being urged to expect delays as a section of Otumoetai Road is being resurfaced.

Tauranga City Council reports the section between Otumoetai Road and Ngatai Road to Norton Road will be resurfaced and is taking approximately three days to complete works.

A detour will be in place for traffic travelling from Brookfield towards Matua and motorists are advised to expect delays and to take extra care when driving through the area.

Access to the Cherrywood shops will be available at all times.

Tauranga City Council also advises motorists to expect delays along Welcome Bay Road while the final asphalt surface is laid.

The section of road is between Waitaha Road and James Cook Drive.

The work is expected to take three to four days to complete.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and to allow extra time for their journey.
