Lawyer's good soles off to Ireland

A Tauranga lawyer is hoping to have the luck of the Irish as he embarks on the Dublin Marathon to help raise money for the Tauranga Foodbank.

Holland Beckett senior solicitor Tim Neill will join 15,000 competitors in the 42.2kilometre race on October 29.

Tim Neill will present the Tauranga Foodbank with a $2000 cheque when he returns from the Dublin Marathon.

Upon his return he will present a cheque for $2000 to the Tauranga foodbank as a result of the support from the Tauranga firm.

With a Northern Irish passport and a grandfather who grew up in Belfast, a trip to Ireland has always been on the cards for Tim and when the international marathon popped up it became an exciting challenge.

Five of Tim's friends will travel with him to Dublin to compete in the marathon.

Also coming to Dublin will be Tim's United Kingdom based brother, who will be the all-important race support crew.

Tim says he is looking forward to the trip, which is looming up large with his flight departing this Friday.

Tim says Holland Beckett has had a long association with the Foodbank and it is a cause they are always keen to support.
