OPINION POLL

Now that they’ve finally been unveiled on Tauranga’s waterfront, what do you think of the bronze Hairy Maclary sculptures?

Amazing! They look great and bring character to The Strand.
I suppose they are okay if you are a kid or a tourist.
They are a complete waste of space and money.
I genuinely do not care.

McLUCKIE, Eleanor Gloria

Posted at 3:02pm Wednesday 03 Oct, 2012

Peacefully on October 2, 2012 at Malyon House, Mt Maunganui. Dearly loved wife of the late Tom. Much loved mother and mother in law of Yvonne and Brian Crawford and Peter and Mel McLuckie. Treasured and loving Grandma to her 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

'God saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb so he closed your weary eyelids and whispered “Peace be thine”.

In accordance with Mum's wishes, she is resting at Yvonne and Brian's home, 14 Oban Road, Tauranga. Family and friends are welcome to say their goodbyes on Friday October 5, anytime between 11am and 1pm, prior to private cremation.
