Tauranga Police are appealing for a woman driver involved in a hit and run accident outside Fraser Cove today to come forward.
An 11-year-old girl was hit by a car as she ran across the road on Fraser Street outside the main entrance to Fraser Cove.

Western Bay of Plenty road policing manager Senior Sergeant Ian Campion says the Tauranga Intermediate student then ran off towards the school.
He says she was not injured in the incident.
“The driver of a white sedan, which was travelling in a northerly direction failed to stop after the accident and took off towards Tauranga City.”
Ian says police would like to speak to the driver of the sedan involved in the collision and ask for her to come forward.
“We are also asking for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
“People can contact the Constable Senior of Tauranga South strategic traffic unit on 578 3460.”
