The National Maori Business Networks Conference will get underway at the TECT Arena at Baypark tonight where one of the country’s top “twitterbugs” will speak.

Graeme Russell of non-profit strategy agency Adage Business and Media Services will assist the team behind the Tauranga Maori Business Association in promoting the conference to build Maori business and enterprise.

National Maori Business Networks Conference starts at the TECT Arena at Baypark tonight.

Russell is described as a “legend” in social media circles and made Auckland’s “Top Tweeter’s as voted by you” list earlier this year.

Tauranga Maori Business Association chairman Buddy Mikaere says this week’s conference is an ideal opportunity for participants to hear what is happening in the areas of Maori business and enterprise.
“We are grateful to have Graeme involved to share some pearls of wisdom on how attendees can tap into social media to help raise awareness, source contacts and grow their business or organisation.”

With the conclusion of the Ngai Tuhoi claims under the Whitangi Treaty Act 1974 then one has to wonder about the merit of the real purpose of this little wee meeting, and while we are at it, who is paying?
