Quake strikes Bay of Plenty

A small earthquake has struck the Bay of Plenty this morning about 5km from Kawerau in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.


Geonet reports the quake measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale struck at 6.35am today.

It had a focal depth of 4km and Geonet reports it was felt in Kawerau.
