Power back on in Maketu

UPDATED 11.34am: Power is back on in the Maketu area after with reports of an overhead power line failure causing an outage this morning.

The outage was reported around 7.44am and PowerCo contractors restored the supply around 11.20am.

Homes affected by the power cut included those in Arawa Road, Browns Road, Cheetham Avenue, Conway Road, Country Lodge Crescent, Edgehill Place, Ford Road, Homewood Drive, Jellicoe Street, John Bird Road, Joyce Road, Kaituna River Road, Kaituna Road, Kelly Road, Kenana Road, Landscape Road, Lenihan Drive, No 1 Road, No 3 Road, Lismore Lane, Maketu Road, Maniatutu Road, Manoeka Road, Mark Road, Milford Park Drive, Pah Road, Papamoa Beach Road, Rangiuru Road, Roderick Lane, Showgrounds Road, Spencer Avenue, State Highway 2, State Highway 33, Tapsells Road, Te Matai Road, Tumu Road, Waimea Drive and Young Road.
