Following the completion of forensic examinations the formal identification of a woman’s body found trapped by foliage on a bank of the Waikato River last week has been completed.
Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Thornton of the Hamilton CIB says the body had been identified as 40-year-old Korean woman, Eunki Kim, who had been missing since her vehicle plunged off the Pukete Bridge into the Waikato River on the evening of June 6.
"Mrs Kim’s body was recovered by Auckland Police from the river near Mercer on July 23.
"We are no longer looking for anyone else in relation to this incident and the matter has been referred to the Coroner.”
