A 9-year-old girl is in Tauranga Hospital in a moderate condition after her horse reared up then fell on top of her.
The Tauranga based TrustPower TECT rescue helicopter was called to a rural property near McLaren Falls this afternoon, before locating the girl near the back of the farm.
Paramedics work on transporting the 9-year-old girl to Tauranga Hospital today.
TrustPower TECT rescue helicopter pilot Liam Brettkelly says the girl suffered pelvic injuries.
The situation will be updated when, and if, new information comes to hand.
