Rodney CIB investigators are at the Mangawhai Golf Club after a heavily disguised male forced his way into the Molesworth Drive building and robbed the club of an amount of cash.
Police say at 6.45pm Wednesday, July 25, a man gained entry via the outside door of the building and threatened the female employee with a large wrench.
The employee was locking up for the night.
The intruder has demanded the employee open the safe and has then been handed a sum of money.
He emptied the victim’s handbag also searching for cash.
The victim has been left severely shocked as a result of this incident.
Police have released details of the offender:
Male Caucasian
Stocky Build
Height – approx 168 cm tall
Clothing: Wearing the following:
• Red bandana type scarf around mouth and nose
• Light coloured peak cap pulled down over eye brows
• Light coloured possibly grey full length trousers
• Light coloured jacket
Unique appearance – Wearing bare feet.
Anyone who has information on this robbery or who sighted any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the Mangawhai Golf Club is urged to contact the Rodney Police on 09 426 4555 or alternatively call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Certainly more than 1200%, I dont think the Council has finished with them as yet either, Managawhai will be a ghost town soon enough as no one could afford to stay there anymore.
