The woman found dead outside a property in Judea has been named as Robyn Anne Prole of Tauranga.
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner says the victim was 57-year-old Tauranga woman Robyn Anne Prole, also known as Robyn Anne Phipps.
Floral tributes near where the woman was found dead in Bell Street.
The woman’s body was found outside a property in Bell Street in Judea on Friday afternoon.
"Tauranga Police are able to release the name of the Tauranga woman who was the victim of Friday’s homicide, following the lifting of interim suppression orders in the Tauranga District Court this morning.
Police investigations into the matter continue, and a forensic post mortem is being conducted today in Auckland.
