A search warrant executed in the Bay of Plenty this morning has led to the arrest of a 34-year-old man on firearms, drug and receiving charges.

Rotorua CIB, assisted by the Armed Offenders Squad, executed the warrant at a rural property.

The alleged offender will appear in the Rotorua District Court on July 16 on the various charges.

Detective Senior Sergeant Zane Smith says “this warrant is part of the Rotorua Police on-going efforts to reduce the effects of methamphetamine related crime in our community”.
