An Eastern Bay of Plenty man accused of a numerous sexual offences will go to trial next month after appearing in Tauranga District Court on Tuesday.
The man, who has name suppression, is charged with four counts of unlawful sexual connection with a male under 12-years-old, two counts of unlawful sexual connection of a female under 12-years-old and two counts of ill-treating a child.

He is also charged with male rapes female, indecent assault on a boy, doing an indecent act on a boy, indecent assault on a female under 12-years-old and performing an indecent act on a female under 12.
The charges relate to offences that occurred in the Eastern Bay of Plenty between 2001 and 2010.
The accused offender will remain behind bars until the trial begins on July 2.

His name needs to come out. This would help deter the other rapists in our area. Why should he be protected after all he’s put these young people thru. Some... no doubt done major damage for life. Don’t protect the offender.
