Children as young as four braved the cold to compete in the Links Avenue Mini Football Tournament this morning.

Co-ordinator Jenna McEing says the children are dealing better with the cold than some of the parents.

She says they are half way through the season and the children are doing well.

“They do ball skills and then play three games every Saturday.

“The parents said they have noticed an improvement in their child’s ball skills since they started playing.”

The tournament is made up of 17 teams of children ranging from those who are turning five this year to seven-year-olds.
