Psych report for murder accused

A judge has ordered a psychiatric report to see if the man accused of the murder of Tauranga man Colin Anthony Bidois is fit to stand trial.

Mark Anthony Rangi, 43, appeared in the High Court at Rotorua today charged with the murder.

A trial date, which is dependent on the outcome of the report, has been set down for February 25, 2013 in the Hamilton High Court.

Rangi is to remain in custody until then.

The body of 50-year-old Colin Bidois was found on 4th Avenue on December 7.
