A crash on State Highway 2 in the Bay of Plenty is being attributed to wet weather after a fully laden kiwifruit truck tipped over near Waiotahi.
A section of State Highway 2 between Ohope and Opotiki was closed for most of Monday morning as emergency services worked to clear the scene.
A crane from Tauranga was brought in to remove the truck and trailer unit, which Police say may have encountered strong winds causing it to tip over.
The driver of the truck was not hurt in the crash.
Motorists are being reminded to drive with caution and watch out for strong winds and surface flooding as the winter months set in.
