Oropi Road, between Maleme Street and Chadwick Road will be closed today and Sunday to allow contractors to do resurfacing work.
Tauranga City Council says the works are dependent on the weather and access for residents will be maintained at all times.
Meanwhile, a detour will be in place for all city bound traffic in Welcome Bay next week.
A section of Welcome Bay Road, between Waitaha Road and the shopping centre, will be closed as contractors continue laying a new sewer pipe.
Access to the shopping centre and all businesses in the area will be maintained at all times.
Detours will be in place through Waitaha Road, James Cook Drive and Village Park.
TCC reminds residents all works are dependent on fine weather and if it is raining, the works will be postponed to the next fine day.
