One person received minor injuries in a five vehicle crash on State Highway 2 just south of Katikati today.
Katikati constable Lindsay Freeman says a car transporter appears to have hit the rear of a light truck turning into a driveway just south of Rae Road.
Another light truck then hit the transporter and spun out, ending up in a ditch while a van heading north was also clipped by the transporter.
A car also caught up in the crash ended up some distance down the road.
There were minor traffic delays while a woman, believed to be the driver of the car, was taken by St John Ambulance to Katikati for treatment, and the damaged vehicles were removed.
The vehicle transporter suffered minor damage but was believed to have lost its clutch and was likely to be towed from the scene.
