Two crashes sends two to hospital

A 33-year-old man is in Tauranga Hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car on Te Puna Station on Saturday night.

Tauranga St John Paramedics responded to the call around 5.50pm.


A spokesperson says the man was hit by a car and suffered serious injuries.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital via ambulance.

Meanwhile, a Rotorua man was taken to Tauranga Hospital on Saturday night after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a bank on Oropi Gorge Road.

Tauranga St John Paramedics treated the 52-year-old man at the scene around 6.40pm, before taking the man to hospital with minor injuries.
